10 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (New as of January 1, 2015)

George N. Jackson Limited warrants to the original purchaser only, its retractable Sun Stopper AwningTM and Sunstopper Drop ShadeTM frames to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use for a period of (10) ten years commencing from the date of purchase on all awnings purchased after January 1, 2015. The standard manufacturer’s warranties for fabric, motors and other optional equipment are not covered by this limited warranty. Any defects in the hardware must be reported within (10) ten years of the date of purchase accompanied with proof of purchase to an authorized Sun Stopper dealer.

 

Under this warranty, George N. Jackson has the option to repair or replace those parts deemed defective. This limited warranty does not cover defects caused by improper installation, reinstallation, service, or failure to operate pitch control mechanisms correctly. George N. Jackson Limited is not responsible for normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, and acts of nature such as wind damage, rain build up on the fabric, snow build up on the frame or fabric, hail, fire or vandalism. Labour cost for the removal and reinstallation of any awning components are not covered by this warranty and are the responsibility of the owner. Any defective part must be returned to an authorized Sun StopperTM dealer for return to George N. Jackson Limited. George N. Jackson Limited shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages, loss or injury. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, but you may also have additional rights as per provincial statutes.  See your Sun Stopper awning authorized dealer for details.

 

FEATURES

QPC  ”Quick Pitch Control”

The QPC option allows you to use a simple hand crank to adjust the pitch of your awning whenever you want.  QPC allows you to keep the sun out without the need for a ladder or special tools.

Cross Arm System

 Have a narrow space that requires a long projection?

Normally it can’t be done, but our cross arm system can be used to make awnings from 42” wide x 60” projection to 81” wide with a 138” projection.  The cross arm system can be used on the Larissa system.

Arms that are engineered to last! The arms are the heart of all lateral arm awning systems. The Sun StopperTM arms are heavy duty with a stainless steel 5 link chain that won’t stretch and brass bushings at the shoulder joint.

 Quality components

• • Roller Tube:  Heavy galvanised steel 78 mm x 1.25 mm roller tube that won’t bend and twist.
  • Torsion Bar:  Heavy 40 mm x 40 mm x 1.5 mm galvanised steel square bar.  The heavy wall thickness and overall size won’t twist under the heavy loads experienced by a lateral arm awning.  Epoxy pain.
  • Front Bar:  Extruded aluminum with a with powder coat finish made of 6063 T5 alloy.
  • Shoulder Joints:  Die cast aluminum with stainless steeel fasteners.  Pitch adjustable from 0 to 80 degrees.  White powder coat finish.
  • Arms:  Heavy wall extruded aluminum with a heavy stainless steel 5 link chain that won’t stretch and brass bushings at the shoulder mount.  Smooth profile with black rubber gaskets seals at all joints.  Powder coat finish.
  • Wall Brackets:  Extruded aluminum brackets made of 6063 T5 alloy.  Powder coat finish.
  • Universal Brackets:  Heavy die cast aluminum used to mount soffit awnings or when a protective hood is required.
  • Fasteners:  All nuts, bolts, washers, etc. are either stainless steel or steel, dacro, 500 LC to prevent rust and corrosion.
  • End Brackets:  Extruded aluminum with a white powder coat finish.

Premium Grade Fabric

Sun Stopper^TM Awnings are made using Sunbrella fabrics.  The rich colours are solution dyed acrylic so they can’t wash out.  The fabric is breathable, water repellent, mildew and UV resistant and fade resistant.  Huge selection of colours available in either solids or stripes.  With all these features you can be confident that your awning will remain beautiful for many years.
